President to Visit North and South Darfur Wednesday

Northern and southern Darfur states have finished arrangement made for receiving President Omar Al Bashir who plans to visit Darfur Wednesday. South Darfur governor Ali Mohamoud said Bashir proposed visit would refute ICC prosecutor general allegation and confirms the unity of internal front. He pointed out that the president would inaugurate Nyala electricity project, a number of secondary school besides inspection of work of Nyala water project, currently under construction at a cost of US$50m. It noted that south Darfur witnessed huge demonstrations today addressed by Fur and Zighawa dignitaries, pledging that they would never respond to Ocampo''s threats and they firmly opposed his allegation. For his part governor of northern Darfur Osman Mohammed Yousif Kibir told (smc) in a broaden meeting held in Fashir that president visit to Darfur is a considerable gaining for the people in the region particularly following stable humanitarian situation. He has affirmed that his state opposed Ocampo''s allegation which purposely made to create fragmentation of the country.
